This one-page dungeon is my contribution to the Jennell Jaquays Memorial Game Jam.

Lost Chapel of the Dragon God is a 14 room dungeon spread over two floors with multiple ways to get from A to B. Meet and parley with a creepy Ear Collector, a too-big-for-these-doors Ogre and a pack of Lizardfolk while exploring a forgotten chapel of an ancient god!

This dungeon was designed with Old-School-Essentials in mind.

All art and writing were done by myself. Because f**k AI.

Hello, nice dungeon, I'd like to play it solo ... Do you have any idea why character would like to explore it ?

Hey, thanks for the comment!

Since it’s part of a megadungeon jam, I didn’t have specific hooks in mind, but if you‘d want to run it as a standalone dungeon, here’s some suggestions:

  • The party might be sent as backup to help the hobgoblins in 4.
  • They follow a rumor of a magical means to find all manners of secret doors (partially true, it’s not magical but the Ear Collector)
  • Someone might send them to retrieve the shield the ogre carries because it’s a family heirloom.
  • A cleric of the dragon god might be sent to restore former places of worship to re-strengthen its presence in the world.
  • A dwarf knows that his ancestor and the portable forge in 12 was last seen in the dungeon and wants it recovered for his own use.
  • Someone might send them to recover the magical spear in 1.
  • A rumor has it that a much larger dungeon full of treasure lies beneath (Possibly true? The stairway in 14 leads deeper below, can be used to connect to another dungeon or simply be a dead end)

Those are great... You should definitely add this d7 table.

Many thanks
